Everybody is dependent
The core idea raised by Oscar Martínez, Social Education professor at URL, is that everybody depends on other people, not only physically dependent but also, for example, of those who make the clothes we wear, the products we bought… If we don't assume our mutual dependency, we won't be able to understand human diversity. And we create a us-them dichotomy, where they are the ones that need something, the dependents, etc. This dependency results in the existence of second-class citizens. Without diversity cannot be humanity.
