Mental disorders are very present in our society. However, there is a huge stigma surrounding these disorders and those who have them. We all have the possibility of developing a mental illness. In fact, one in four people suffer from a mental disorder during their life.

Educational Material on Mental Health

We offer educators a series of activities that aim to delve into the scope mental health and facilitate the work on videos related to this topic. These activities can be adapted for your individual needs and are mainly intended for 12 to 18 year olds.


Tips on Using the Material

All the material is for public use and is proposed as a set of activities that are easy to carry out in different spaces and moments. At the end of each activity, you will find a box with ideas and discussion topics to help you get more out of the proposal. However, our goal is to offer a variety of activities for educators to adapt to their own needs and possibilities.

It is recommended to watch some of the beats on the scope of end of life care and palliatives before doing the activities.

  • To understand the reality of the people who suffer with a mental health problem in order to break the stigma
  • To analyze the difficulties and needs of this sector of the population, as well as their rights
  • To critically assess the social image of people with mental health problems, and especially the portrayal in the media
  • To look from the point of view of a person with a mental health problem and understand the impact that stigmas can have on their self-esteem
  • To be conscious of our own responsibility in these problems
  • To recognize the possibility to do things together and be actively involved in breaking the stigma through service learning projects
